American composer Ross Christopher’s new digital album is a concept album, which evokes the different phases of the moon. Each song is a sonic representation of its specific moon phase - from darkness to light and fading back to darkness. It’s ambient music, but it can also be used for relaxation.

Tina zei achteraf in 1988 over haar rol: "Aunty Entity was not as fierce as I wanted her to be. I wanted her to go back into the trunk and pull out the clothes that she was wearing when she built that city, because she built herself up from nothing and she definitely wasn't wearing that chain dress and those high-heeled shoes." What’s Love Got to Do with it’. Ik som ze even op: Fausto Papetti (1985), The London Symphony Orchestra (1987), The Shadows (1987), The Jimmy’s (1990), Francesca Pettinelli (1994), Shirley Bassey (1995), The Gary Tesca Orchestra (1995), Per Nielsen (1997), The BB Band (1999), Studio 99 (1999), Regina Lund (2000), Milton Guedes (2000), The Starsound Orchestra (2002), Jane Child (2004), Northern Kings (2007), Linda Eder (2009), Boombastic (2012), Espen Eriksen Trio (2012), Carl Wave (2014), Amandine Bourgeois (2015), Hannah Kirby (2015), Emilie Garcia (2015), Smooth Jazz All Stars (2016), 8 Bit arcade (2018), Adrienne Warren (2019), At the Movies (2020), Shawn Colvin (2020), Channah Hewitt (2021), Sweet Little Band (2021). Tekst: Out of the ruins Out from the wreckage Can't make the same mistake this time We are the children The last generation (the last generation) We are the ones they left behind And I wonder when we Are ever gonna change, change Living under the fear 'Til nothing else remains We don't need another hero We don't need to know the way home All we want is life beyond the Thunderdome Looking for something We can rely on There's gotta be something better out there Love and compassion Their day is coming (coming) All else are castles built in the air And I wonder when we Are ever gonna change, change Living under the fear 'Til nothing else remains All the children say We don't need another hero We don't need to know the way home All we want is life beyond the Thunderdome So, what do we do with our lives? We leave only a mark Will our story shine like a light Or end in the dark Is it all or nothing? We don't need another hero We don't need to know the way home All we want is life beyond Thunderdome All the children say (We don't need another hero) We don't need another hero (We don't need to know the way home) (All we want is life beyond the Thunderdome) Misschien bekruipt u nu de lust om die film nog eens te bekijken.
Er volgden succesvolle albums zoals ‘Autobahn’ (1974), ‘Trans-Europe Express’ (1975), ‘The Man Machine’ (1978) en ‘Computer World’ (1981). ‘The Robots’. (Ya tvoy slugá, "I am your servant") en "Я твой работник" (Ya tvoy rabótnik, "I am your worker"). Wolfgang Flür schreef in 2003 overigens een boek daarover, ‘Ich war ein roboter’ ofwel ‘I Was a Robot’. Hierna volgt de tekst van het liedje: Я твой слуга Я твой работник We're charging our battery And now we're full of energy We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We're functioning automatic And we are dancing mechanic We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are programmed just to do Anything you want us to We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We're functioning automatic And we are dancing mechanic We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We're functioning automatic And we are dancing mechanic We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are programmed just to do Anything you want us to We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots We are the robots (We are the robots) Covers hiervan kwamen er uiteraard ook. This is Mike Clay’s second electronic solo album. It is an exploration of imaginary daydreams and mini soundtracks for the mind, inviting the listener to travel through both “inner” and “outer space”. It is indeed floaty, dreamy music that takes you on a cosmic trip. And that by 12 tracks of ambient, electronic space music.
Zo arrangeerde hij voor The Beatles The Long and Winding Roa’, en voor Mary Hopkin Those Were the Days. De RAH band bracht talloze mooie singles uit, zoals Messages from the Stars, Roll me down to Rio, Sam the Samba Man en Perfumed Garden, die ik allemaal bezit. Hewson zei tijdens een interview in 1985 het volgende: "much more difficult to make these calls since British Telecom was privatized. The phone call cost about five million six hundred and forty thousand pounds and forty pence.” Hierna vindt u de tekst: INTRO "Good evening. This is the intergalactic operator. Can I help you?" "Yes. I'm trying to reach flight commander P.R. Johnson, on Mars, flight 2-4-7" "Very well, hold on please [beeping]. Get through!" "Thank you operator!" VERSE 1 : Hi darlin' ! How are you doing ? Hey baby, were you sleeping ? Oh I'm sorry, but I've been really missing you ! Hi darlin' ! How's the weather? Say baby, is that cold better now ? Oh I'm sorry, is there someone there with you?? BRIDGE: Ooooh...since you went away, there's nothing goin' right ! I just can't sleep alone at night... I'm not ashamed to say I badly need a friend...or it's the end. CHORUS: Now, when I look at the cloud's across the moon. Here in the night I just hope and pray that soon. Oh baby, you'll hurry home to me. VERSE 2 : Hi darlin', the kids say they love you. Hey baby, is everything fine with you? Please forgive me, but I'm trying not to cry... BRIDGE : Ooooh...I've had a million different lovers on the phone. But I just stayed right here at home. I don't think that I can take it anymore this crazy war. CHORUS "I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation, but we are experiencing violent storm conditions in the asteriod belt at this time. We may lose this valuable deep space communication link. Please, be as brief as possible. Thank you." BRIDGE or it's...or it's..."Hello?" "Hello operator?" " Yes, we've lost the connection! Could you try again please?" -"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid we've lost contact with Mars 2-4-7 at this time." CHORUS repeat 3 times WHILE SAYING: "Ok. Thank you very much... I'll...I'll try again next year...next year...next year...next year..." De tekst van het liedje gaat als volgt: He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a ladies man Always greets with a kiss on the hand He protects us all At the ready to answer our call In his own special way He is gentle and kind, Oppression he hates Love in his eyes My heart skips a beat when I'm by his side He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer In our galaxy You can't trust everyone that you meet I'm so lucky He's the only one I'll ever need He will blast off tonight He puts his life on the line ever time he's in flight A man you can't trace But our love will last beyond time and space He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser A spacer He's a spacer A star chaser Hierna vindt u de officiële videoclip: https://youtu.be/8rwaIeMDLxI of de “extended mix”: https://youtu.be/bJ_LLwQ7Pck Patrick Van de Wiele
This is a wonderful “epic chill” album, which will appeal to fans of synthesizer music as well as those of New Age and chill-out! I'm already a fan!
This new album from the British band Spitdust is a very special concept album that will certainly appeal to science fiction fans. The album explores the scientific idea that the universe should actually contain a plethora of life forms, but apparently that's not the case. The music is experimental, atmospheric, with influences from an eclectic infusion of contemporary English folk, ambient and cinematic soundscapes. Let us hope, however, that this grim vision of the future never materializes!
Laurent Schieber is the man behind Sequentia Legenda. His latest album contains synthesizer music which is an invitation to dream away, an introspection, a view of what lies beyond the horizon. At the same time a return to the sources, a vibrating energy for the listeners, who want to give themselves the time and freedom to go into resonance to the rhythm of these soundscapes. So let go and harmonize with your inner symphony!
Last year the Red Bullet label released both Nova albums remastered together on 2 CDs, supplemented with some bonus tracks (such as the 12 inch version of 'Aurora'). It's great to hear 'Aurora' again after all these years. Of course this synthesizer hit is in the vein of Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre etc. But the other tracks such as 'Xenos', 'Sol', 'Ariane (the Traveller)', 'Cygnus' and ‘Phase’ are still good to listen to. I have therefore always been a fan of synthesizer music, given my fascination with science fiction for more than fifty years. And Nova's perfectly radio-controlled future music was perfectly in line with that.
